My Communication Behaviour

I answer all my email, except for spam or uninvited newsgroup mailings. So if you have sent me a request and you have not received a reply, please write again or call.

If you have a request of me, please make it in writing (email); I can usually accomplish it within 24-48 hours of receipt unless I'm away.

If I am off line for more than 48 hours I will set up an auto-respond that informs you when I will next check for mail. Or check my schedule above. Blank days (absence of notes on the calendar above) mean I am available. Although I may be on a break.

Phone me if email is not appropriate, but be prepared to follow up any request with an email version of it. My email inbox takes priority over a scrap of paper. My desk and phone are the last things that get cleared and not daily.

I'm generally at my computer by 9am Vancouver BC time. I usually take a long break in the late afternoon and I check my email at the end of each day that I am available.

I use Twitter to keep my readers (+/-10,000/month here www.chpc.biz) and (+/-5,000/month here www.institutionaladvisors.com) informed as to when I have updated either of these high traffic sites. Go to http://twitter.com/Brian_Ripley and click "Follow" if you want to be notified.
